Who's behind Lydka SAIL?
Hi! I'm Lýdia Hric Machová – but everyone calls me Lydka. I'm a polyglot and language mentor. I learned nine languages mostly on my own, without living abroad. For years I searched for a way of learning that was fun and actually worked. Step by step, I put together my own method – the Lydka Method.

How do the 500 monthly messages work?
The 500 messages count both your questions and ALMI's answers, so one message from you and one reply from her count as two. That's enough for our users even at their most active, because most of the conversation happens while you're setting up your plan and getting to know the methods. Later you write less, because you're only fine-tuning your strategy or asking about a specific situation. If you run out, you can buy an extra message pack any time. Extra messages are added to your balance and carry over to the following months, for as long as your membership is active. But most likely you won't need an extra pack: 500 messages a month are enough for everyday learning, especially once you learn to use ALMI effectively.
How do payments for Lydka SAIL work?
You can choose from three packages:
- The monthly package costs $157 and is ideal if you want to try it first.
- The six-month package is $785 as a one-time payment, or $130 a month. It's a good middle ground if you know you want to stay with Lydka SAIL for more than two months.
- The annual package is the best value at $118 a month (a one-time payment of $1,413). It's a great fit if you want to commit to a language long term, or add a second language later.

How do I change my membership if I want to switch to a different Lydka SAIL membership?
If you already have an active Lydka SAIL membership and buy a different one, you'll get an email confirming your payment. It contains an activation link, which you need to click.
After you click it, your original subscription is canceled and your remaining messages carry over to the new one.
If you don't click it, your original subscription won't be canceled and you'll have two at once. The new subscription starts running from the day you buy it.
Is ALMI a real person?
No. ALMI is an AI language mentor, an artificial intelligence trained on my methodology. You're talking with AI, not a real person. That's exactly why she's available any time, for any number of students at once.
